First Visit
Upon entering the office you will be greeted by one of the happiest and well adjusted members of our team. We will have some paperwork for you to fill out which provides us with general information about yourself your health and your family.
Save time! Click on the link below to access our new practice member information form. Then, print it, fill it out and bring it with you to our office on your first visit.
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with Dr. Hanifen to discuss your health-related issues, concerns, as well as potential care options.
In order to determine what your actual concern is, Dr. Hanifen will ask you various questions related to your condition. Next, a state-of-the-art computerized nervous system scan will be performed (this test is non-invasive and doesn’t hurt a bit) with the Insight Subluxation Station™ to objectively analyze the function of your spine and nervous system, which cannot be seen on X-ray. The Insight Subluxation Station™ incorporates Surface Electromyography (sEMG) and Infrared Thermal Scan technology.
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most personalized and effective care plan for you.
Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, practice members will generally be provided with their first chiropractic adjustment and any physiotherapeutic activities necessary during this same visit.
Prior to leaving, practice members will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. You will also get a chiropractic information folder with a copy of your Insight Subluxation Station™ scan. Generally speaking, practice members are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete report of findings.
